Understanding Panic Disorder: Recognizing the Signs

What is Panic Disorder?

Signs of a Panic Attack

  1. Heart Racing or Pounding: You might feel like your heart is beating very fast or hard.

  4. Shortness of Breath: It can feel hard to breathe.

  7. Feeling Dizzy or Lightheaded: You might feel like you're going to faint.
  8. Chills or Hot Flashes: You may suddenly feel very cold or very hot.
  9. Nausea or Stomach Pain: Your stomach might feel upset or hurt.
  10. Paresthesias: Numbness or tingling sensations.
  11. Feeling Detached: It can feel like you're not connected to your surroundings or yourself.
  12. Fear of Losing Control: You might feel like you're going crazy or losing control.
  13. Fear of Dying: There can be a strong fear that something terrible is happening to your body.
